Peter Grotier

Position: Goalkeeper

Biography: A goalkeeper he played in the Football League between 1969-86. Mainly a reserve to Bobby Ferguson at West Ham United he moved to Lincoln City in 1974 and stayed there until 1980 making 252 league appearances for them. Later he was reserve team coach at Grimsby Town. He became a shoe importer in Essex and is now a freight forwarder and a Director at Colvanbridge Ltd in Coggeshall Essex.

Grotier, Peter I remember as a young lad watching Grimsby train on the local park..I was behind his goal clapping and fetching balls..afterwards he gave me a pair of gloves....brilliant.

Grotier, Peter Peter is such a great man. I joined a new football team "Wivenhoe Town" he welcomed me even though he wasn't the manager he was a goal keeper coach he is very funny good to talk with trains the goalkeeper very well and often he took our warm ups before games. He motivated us such an inspiration.
