Biography: After his retirement, Gunn worked with Norwich City, initially in the clubs hospitality suite The Gunn Club which was named after him. In 2002 he was named Sherriff of Norwich by Norwich City Council and in 2006 he released his autobiography. In 2007 he became a club liason officer at Norwich City before becoming the clubs goalkeeping coach. After a group urging Gunn's appointment as Norwich manager was setup on social networking site Facebook by Gunn's daughter, he was given the job despite not being considered a serious candidate. Gunn was sacked in August 2009, 8 months after his appointment.
