Hague, Neil I was the captain of Rotherham Boys and Neil was a skilful ’inside forward’. This was 1964. Neil went on to a professional contract with Rotherham United. When we travelled to games away from Millmoor, as we sat on the team bus, I recall Neil spotting a beautiful girl cleaning the cars at a taxi business opposite the Rotherham United. He said to me, “I’ll marry that girl”! And he did. Jean, as I recall, was an Art Student. I am so shocked to hear of Neil’s passing. Great, great guy! Phillip Dolby.

Hague, Neil A great guy. We first met during a week of trials for the selection of the squad to represent Rotherham Boys Under 15. The year was 1964. We got to be great friends. Even our 2 families met up regularly. They were great times. Neil met and married the love of his life. Jean, she was an Art Student and later a teacher of art. I visited his family home at that time on Rowena Drive, in the mining village of Thurcroft. We would play football in the street and “hang out” down on the shop front and the ‘dole corner’. They were happy times. Phillip Dolby

Hague, Neil Neil lived around the corner from me on Rowena Drive in Thurcroft. I was a little younger than him but remember watching him play on the street with the Hodgkinsons too. Alan Hodgkinson played for the Blades (GK). Solid full back. Hope he’s well.

Hague, Neil Neil was a neighbour of mine growing up. Loved to watch him play kick ball with Hodgkinsons. Good, solid grafter and hard in the tackle. Legend for me

Hague, Neil Responsible for one of most suicidal back passes ever against (it had to be) Hartlepool from which they scored from it. It scarred me for life!
