Heaton, Mike I worked with Mick in 1994/5 he began as my driver. I was an enforcement officer and he was with me in my work. He was a nice compassionate man and was too nice to do the job I had done for years! I remember the day of his accident, he was on his way to the office for debriefing but he never arrived! A colleague went to look for him, then we got the news he was involved in a road traffic accident from which he never recovered. Such a sad time for everyone who knew him, he was a wonderful compassionate person with a great sense of humour! We will remember him always.

Heaton, Mike Mick used to give coaching/training to a sunday league team that I played for; he was friendly, enthusiastic and very patient with those of us who were less than talented. I also played badminton with Mrs Badger and Mrs (Ted ) Helmsley. ( and me a Wednesdayite ... )

Heaton, Mike I remember waiting for autographs outside the Bellfield Everton training ground.I was doing the typical Scouse thing and asked Mick if he could get me a player shirt.I was 14 at the time.I wasn't allowed into the training ground.True to his word he called me inside and handed me a brown bubble wrap bag with a shirt inside. He asked me previous what number I want.I told him ' any number'.Inside the bag was the famous number 9 shirt.Im 38 now and still keep that shirt as my one of my most keep safe possessions.Live in Australia now DBS was sad to hear Mick passed away.Ill always remember his Geordie accent and good nature. Thanks Mick!True Blue
