Hendrie, John Was at Ayrsome Park with my kids, 2 sons and a daughter, players always signed autographs for the kids in them days. Anyway my daughter kept getting pushed out when asking for autographs, John Hendrie who was injured had seen her getting pushed out and came over and told my daughter to be at the bottom of the stairs leading into the main stand at the end of the game. Not knowing what was happening we went to the stairs, he took her into the Middlesbrough dressing room and got the players to sign her autograph book for her, we were more than happy with that. I will never forget him for that, he made my daughter so happy, to see her face was just pure magic.

Hendrie, John One of the finest players ever seen at Middlesbrough's Ayresome Park scoring probably the best goal in the one against Millwall and not forgetting the last league goal ever scored at Ayresome....a legend.
