Biography: Yorkshire born striker who made his name at Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday with a record of a goal in every three games, joined Saints ion 1997 for a club record £2 million fee and was paired with the emerging Kevin Davies, sadly in his second year at The Dell his history of injuries caught up with him and he retired on medical advice in 2000 aged 32. He returned to Hillsborough to work in Corporate Hospitality. And is now academy coach at Crystal Palace
