Holden, Bill Bill was married to Irene Bailey a Burnley hairdresser. My sister Brenda worked for her and was godmother to their daughter.

Holden, Bill I remember Bill Holden when I was a young lad. I am a big Bury fan and I recall him playing in the early sixties at Gigg Lane. I can remember every single player who played in the 60-61 year when Bury won the third division title and have since met a few of them. Bill Holden was very popular with crowd, as indeed were all the players. I was just sorry when Roy McLaren left Bury the previous season. He was by far the best goalkeeper I have seen at Bury.
