Hole, Barry As a kid I saw Barry play for Villa. Apparently according to a local paper he had been in a bit of trouble with the manager of the time, caught having a pint or two in his local. After a shot of his missed the target the Holte End faithful sang.... 'He's up, he's down, he's in The Rose and Crown, Barry Hole, Barry Hole...... Very good, getting many laughs.... Later, another of his efforts whizzed wide.... Another refrain came forth.... He shot, he missed, He must be f***ing pi**ed, Barry Hole, Barry Hole..... This got fittingly, a bigger laugh.....

HOLE, Barry I am American (yank). I played the game my whole life. I lived in Swansea in the early 90’s. Barrie was my newsagent. Every morning we would talk about soccer(football). The week I left he gave me a bag and said there was some shirts and a hat. He gave me his 66’ World Cup qualifing Jersey. And a 66’-67’ international cap from four nations tourney. As a true fan of the sport. I was in shock. He was a great person!!!
