Birthplace: Ponders End, Middlesex

Position: Goalkeeper

Biography: Became a publican running pubs in Southampton, then Romsey, before taking over the bar at Bramshaw Golf Club in the New Forest. In September 1994, he retired to Torrevieja, on the Costa Blanca, Spain where he died in December 2007 following a short illness.

Hollowbread, John A lovely , generous man. John kept goal for all comers at a school fete to raise funds for a swimming pool. No complaints on a boiling hot day.
