Hooper, Harry Harry was a favourite player of mine when I was young watching Birmingham City. He played on the wing and had some tricks to his game that I have not seen from any other footballer even up to the present time. Very reliable whenever blues got a penalty his style meant goalkeepers would often dive the wrong way. The pink Birmingham Mail Argos on Saturday nights (there was also a blue one with slightly different stories) once printed one of his penalties with the keeper flying through the air but the wrong way. The crowd were always excited when he got the ball because his dribbling skills usually created chances. He rarely headed the ball and there was a cheer when he did. I would like to thank him for the pleasure he gave and hope he is in reasonably good health.
