Hurley, Charlie My father played for Workington in the mid 60s remembers playing against Charlie as opposing centre forward. He remembers after the game Charlie saying to him after the game it was one of the most enjoyable games he had played and was knackered after chasing my dad around for the second half. He had pummeled my dad in the 1st half.

Hurley, Charlie I have very happy memories of being an apprentice with Charlie in the Toolroom of Fords, Dagenham. We played together in the football team for the Toolmakers. All the other teams were weary of playing against Charlie. Happy days. Hope you are keeping well Charlie.

Hurley, Charlie Charlie is a gentleman he would visit my Mam and Dad with his wife Joan during his time at Sunderland. Loved my Mam's corned beef pie. Hope you are still fit and well.

Hurley, Charlie I saw Charlie play in 65 against Sheffield United (4-1),and he was great. Jim Baxter was on display as well. Apparently, he lives in Broxbourne, which is where I live. Please give him my best wishes. PS: I remember it was a boiling hot day in August.

Hurley, Charlie Many years ago my grandmother Mrs Mitchell worked as a cleaner for a lady living opposite to Charlie in Sunderland. Charlie would often give my grandmother a lift into town if he was leaving at the same time such was the generosity of the man. Wish he was in our team now.
