Biography: A barrel chested no nonsense defender who played between 1961-1978. He is a nephew of Bill Shankly.When his playing career ended he became manager of Motherwell for a short period. Thereafter he became a P.E. teacher at Lanark Grammar School retiring in 2003. In 2012 he was elected to Birmingham City's Hall Of Fame.
