Jackson, Barry Great player. Saw him many times at Bootham Cres in late 60s and 70s, along with 2 Phils, Boyer and Burrows, Chris Toppin, Paul Aimson, Archie Taylor on wing nd Bob Widdowson or Mick Granger in goal. These were among many greats - one of our best teams. I couldn't believe it when Barry knocked on my mam and dads door to read meter for electric board. Had a good chat about City. Lovely man and a gent too.

JACKSON, Barry I saw Barry playing for York at Oldham, about 1965, I think. A big strong good no-nonsesce centre half. He got in a fight with Jimmy Frizzell, the Oldham Scottish inside forward, who was a lot smaller and they were both sent off. I'm sure if Barry reads this he will remember it well.

Jackson, Barry Fond memories of Barry when we played for New Earswick school, and Cliftonville. Regards Alan Freer. Now Tauranga New Zealand

Jackson, Barry Funniest thing I ever saw was when Barry got sent off at Scunthorpe, wasn't very happy, when he reached dug outs, he kicked sponge bucket and it flew straight at scunny bench, soaking all, so funny
