Jarvis, Alan I was once at Pickering Park, Hull, with some schoolmates in the mid 1960s, when one of them spotted Alan there, practising on his own with a football. We approached Alan. He stopped and took the time to have a chat with us. I've never forgotten that act of kindness. I started supporting Hull City a bit later in the decade, and enjoyed watching Alan playing for the Tigers. Very sorry to hear about his illness and death.

Jarvis, Alan Alan and his family used to live next door but one to my family in Rhosddu Wrexham, as children we used to meet him training his skills in Stantsy Park Rhosddu, the outstanding thing i remember is my friends (numerous) and I could never get the ball off him, just showing how skilful he was at that early age, rest in peace Alan from all that remember him from Rhosddu. Jarvis, Alan Alan's dad taught me at Victoria Schools in Wrexham and he was my form master as well as taking the school football team of which I was a member for 3 years. I think at that time Alan was at Grove Park Grammar School in Wrexham. So sad to hear of Alan's death and that he suffered with that disease.

Glyn Percival As a Liverpool season ticket holder I was a friend of Alan and took him quite often in the early 2000/2010 to home games at Anfield. My son also a Liverpool season ticket holder was often with us. Alan had numerous tales to tell us about his playing days with Hull City. He was then able to recollect many famous footballers he played with and against. He was a most enjoyable person to be with. My son and I were so sorry to hear the sad news of his death. Our condolences go out to his family.

Jarvis, Alan Alan courted a girl called Geraldine Binnington who lived in Mortimer Avenue, Anlaby - the Binningtons' were related to my family and I lived in Mortimer Avenue. I don't know if they married. I remember him well as I was a massive Tigers fan. RIP Alan (Dec 2019).

Jarvis, Alan We played in the same teams in Grove Park and the other night I had a dream and Alan came up in the dream. In the dream we were both 41 years of age, life is strange isn't it.

Jarvis, Alan Alan came from Hull City for ten grand. Had a serious eye injury which curtailed his football carrear industrious player

Jarvis, Alan Spent many happy times with Alan and Chris Simpkin. Both came to my 21st. Birthday party along with Chris Chilton and Paddy Greenwood. Alan used to live on Marlborough Avenue then and drove a big Wolsley car. I think he had a Daimler Dart car as well. Love to make contact again

Jarvis, Alan I was in the same class at Grove Park as both Alan and Terry Hennesey until I moved down to Kent. The history teacher asked us to name famous discoverers and Alan said 'Carroll Levis'. He got a kick from the teacher for that!

Jarvis, Alan An icon of the Tigers in the '60's. shared the toilet with him at the Hayworth Arms. Just a role model with Chris Simpkins as Half-backs. Best not to dwell on Chris Simpkins life!
