Jeffries, Derek I went to Victoria Park with Derek, I remember he used to travel on the match bus 53 with the fans. Fantastic sportsman

Jeffries, Derek When we were kids we played football all the time. Derek lived on the Anson Estate, Longsight, Manchester on Sundays. We played football in Birch Park for hours and hours. There were a number of decent players that lived in the area at that time. We were 12 to14 years of age. Derek was a top player.

Jeffries, Derek Derek and I went to the same school Victoria Park. He was in his last year and I was in my first. He won the sportsman of the year trophy every year because he was awsome at everything, a natural. I won the trophy when he left school, but unfortunately my football career wasn't as good has Derek's.
