Jenkins, Reg Rochdale played Halifax at home in a night match, in those days it was always customary to buy. Pie at half time. Shortly after half time Reg scored a screamer for his hat-rick. In the excitement I threw my arms up and the pie went flying. My poor Dad then had to queue up for a replacement. Dale went on to win 5-0.

Jenkins, Reg Reg, the Rochdale goalscoring record holder, sadly died in his sleep on Tuesday 29 January 2013 in Tenerife, Spain, aged 74. He was recouperating after knee surgery.
