Johnston, Willie I was fortunate enough to encounter Willie Johnston at his local in Kirkcaldy. Not only a very talented footballer, but also the most modest and unassuming man that you could meet.

Johnston, Willie During a televised game for Vancouver at California Surf, Willie placed the ball for a corner, turned around and noticed a mug of beer on a wall in front of him, with the owners permission he took a swig, turned around and placed the ball on John Craven's head for a goal.

Johnston, Willie CORRECTION, my son informs me that the beer incident referred to below occurred against San Jose not California Surf, wht the heck, I knew that it was somewhere in that direction.
