Biography: When Joe arrived at Old Trafford from Leeds in a record £350,000 deal in January 1978, he brought with him a fearsome reputation. Although able to regularly find the net, he also was a tigerish competitor, afraid of no-one. This attitude served him well during his three year stay before he left to try his luck in Italy with AC Milan for a fee of £350,000, after he was unable to agree terms for a new deal in the early days of Ron Atkinson's reign at the club. Scottish international striker, has managed Bristol City, Hearts and Stoke City, and has also been assistant manager of Huddersfield and caretaker boss of Portsmouth. Is now at Spurs.
