Kemp, Fred I remember Fred well, he went to Vincent Thompson school and was a year older than me. He lived in Bonville Close and I used to live in Thornpark Rise. Fred was the best player our school had and in those days the arch rivals were Ladysmith school. Great days, to think you went to Wolverhampton, and I returned to my birthplace in Bedworth near Coventry. I hope you are keeping well in these unsafe times Freddie. Kind regards Pete Jackson

Kemp, Fred I saw Fred Kemp playing at centre forward regularly in the reserves. He was incredibly skilful, scoring one goal by flicking over the centre backs heads and rounding the keeper to roll the ball into the empty net. He took his chance to play brilliantly and energetically in midfield, stealing limelight from certain established players. Saints did not get the best out of him.

Kemp, Fred Played for a team called Juventus in Exeter at Barton Fields 1959 with Fred. My memory is that we played about 6 games, had 8 or 9 players and still managed to beat the opponents.

Kemp I remember seeing David Kemp driving through Southsea in a bright yellow Triumph Stag and being very envious. Dream car and dream job!

Kemp, Fred Loved Fred Kemp. All action. Kept Hugh Fisher out one season scoring some great goals, then we sold him! Never knew why.

Terry Paine said.Thank you Fred for so much pleasure and that tippy toe style.
Kemp, Fred Fred was my favourite player at Southampton. He used to work his socks off every game, just great to watch. I hope he is well and looking forward to retirement. Regards from a Reading fan.
Kemp, Fred Freddie Kemp was our next door neighbour at Bonville Close Exeter. He was always great with us young boys. I remember him being very stylish - Italian mum. I think I remember he was transferred to Blackpool when they were in the First Division for ????45000 - a fortune. Freddie started with a bang - I think they made him captain. We were very young - didn't know too much of his football but he really was a great with us kids. Fred somewhere we have a picture of my younger brother Mike sat on your knee! Really fond regards Fred. David Shoulder
