Kitchener, Bill Bill was best friends with my ex-husband Chris Dando, (deceased,)& was first choice for best man at our wedding. A second choice had to be made incase Bill’s commitments meant he couldn’t attend. Luckily,he did manage to attend, but sadly we had to use the substitute. I have a photograph of all three guys together.
Some months after our wedding we moved to Arlesey & lived just across the road from Bill’s parents house. My in-laws lived at the far end of the village.
A few years later Chris & I moved to Paignton, but by then Bill & his first wife had moved to Christchurch & that is when I last saw him in the early 1970s.

Kitchener, Bill We were young children that used to play on the green together. We had a lovely peaceful childhood which of course finished leaving school. Bill was the first one to get a car once he had started playing for Torquay. Then we all went our own ways.

Kitchener, Bill I went to school with Bill and we enjoyed a few meals together after leaving school. Bill was a lovely man. I last saw him in Henlow High Street, a few days before I got married.
Bill would remember me as Gillian Wade. There is no ulterior motive in me writing this, I would just like to know what happened to a very nice chap!
