Ledger, Bob I was in the same class at junior school as Robbies brother, Malcolm. Rob said if we passed our 11 plus he’d treat us to a match at Huddersfield. It was Huddersfield reserves v Wolves reserves. I think Rob lived near Dewsbury, he took us to the cinema then the evening match. Bill Shankley was the manager and he said hello to us. We had great seats in the stand and it’s still one of the best days of my life. I saw Rob about 20 years ago and he still remembered our day.
I knew all his family and they were lovely people.

Ledger, Bob I remember bob going in goal for Oldham when the goalie was injured ,one of the biggest cheers ever at boundary park bob had just played every position for Oldham

Ledger, Bob I played with Bob at Richmond Town for many years and what a character he was. I remember when we beat Whessoe 2-0 in a cup final in about 1976 and I scored both goals Bob came over after the game and shook my hand saying, 'I've been playing football for over 25 years and this is the first trophy I have ever won - thanks!
