Biography: Went into the haulage business upon leaving the game. Later took a job at Hoslets in Huddersfield before retiring.

MASSIE, Les Had a great career at Huddersfield where he is in the Hall of Fame and was 34/35 when we signed him. Workington were a struggling Fourth Division side but Les was superb for us, still hungry for the game and a total professional. Scored 15 goals in 62 games and helped us avoid the dreaded re-election process by a point. A top player.
