Clubs played for: Amateur with West Bromwich Albion (2 third team appearances), trialist with Walsall, Coventry City, St Johnstone, Shrewsbury Town, Cliftonville (Ireland). Also played for Sachseln & CF Sarnen in Switzerland and briefly for Lucerne Grasshoppers. Returned to England and played non-League football for Stourbridge (reserves), Kingsbury United, Tantany Rovers, Brookvale; ran the West Bromwich Albion ex-players' team for 10 years: 1979-89.

Biography: After retiring I served in Birmingham City Police force; then became a sports-master at a Birmingham Preparatory School; since 1975 have written 125 books on football (probably the most on one specific sport by anyone in the world); now living in Andalucia, Spain... and still writing books - my latest two (a) England in the World Cup: 1949-50 to 2013-14 and (b) The Miscellany of Huddersfield Town: 1908-2014) are both due out at end of this season. Also charity fund-raiser and radio and newspaper sports reporter.
