Biography: McDonald became Swindon Town's reserve team manager after he hung his boots up, before joining Queens Park Rangers as assistant manager. He then joined Northern Irish side Glentoran as first team coach, before landing the managers job. He resigned in February 2010. Took over AMD Trophies & Engraving in Bangor,which had previously been owned by former Northern Ireland team-mate Bryan Hamilton. Sadly he collapsed & died whilst playing golf at the Temple Golf Club near Lisburn on 23rd June 2012 aged 48.
