Position: Striker/Attacking midfielder

Biography: Australian International striker with 16 Caps, McDonald started his British career with Southampton when his contract with Saints ran out he joined Wimbledon, before moving onto greater things in Scotland with Motherwell and Celtic. Scoring over 100 goals in more than 200 appearances north of the border. In 2010 he followed former Saints and Celtic manager to Middlesborough as Strachan tried to rebuild the side with several other Celtic players. He signed a four and half year contract with Boro through to the summer of 2014.
