Biography: After his playing days, Don was manager at Halifax, Barrow, Grimsby, and Southport. Then ran the Crown Hotel in Brighouse, also worked in local radio until retiring.

Mcevoy, Don When I was a youngster at Branston Secondary Modern School Lincs, Don came to teach us how to improve our playing techniques. He was such an inspiration to us lads and I remember him with fondness. Shortly after I went to watch the Imps and right in front of where we were standing Don beat an opponent & turned round and beat him again! It thrilled our young hearts to see him in action. Thank you Don...sadly missed mate.
