Phil McKnight

Birthplace: Camlachie, Scotland

Position: Wing-half

Biography: Corky' moved south and joined Chelsea after leaving the Navy A long throw expert, he spent eight seasons at the club, making his league debut against Portsmouth in May 1948 as a hard working, ever reliable wing half. Coached the Orient 'A' team before going into management with Hayes and then Ruislip Manor. He went on to become a businessman in the London area.

Mcknight, Phil Philip McKnight is my uncle. I remember as a child being taken to the matches by my mum when he was playing against teams e.g. Derby and mum cheering him on at the top of her voice.


McKnight, Phil Hi.phil.lwas talking to ex.football from our days @ hayes town when you were manager there @your name was mentioned in case you might have forgotten me I was the man between the sticks for a time in 1964. Great to know to still going.alex
