Biography: A full back best remembered for his time at Preston North End between 1970-79 where he amassed nearly 300 appearances for the club.On finishing his league career he took up employment as a Motor Car Sales Rep although he continued to play non league football. He lives in Ashton Under Lyne.

Mcmahon, John John loved his football he continued playing into his forties with the local Wythenshawe Sunday League Team “The Royal Oak” As the Manager of Unicorn FC I managed to get him to play a few games in the Altrincham Sunday League at the time the average age of our players was 20s John was a great inspiration who the lads looked up to and who he enjoyed playing with. Mcmahon, John I lived a few doors away from John in Swalecliffe Avenue on Brooklands Estate, Wythenshawe when John was a young boy.
