Biography: The Dutch international arrived at Stamford Bridge on a Bosman free transfer after coming through the ranks at Ajax. An attacking minded right wing back, he was an FA Cup winner in his first season at the club despite only making a handful of first team appearances in the Premier League. He held down a regular first team place from 2000 until his departure on a free transfer under Jose Mourinho. Joined Umm-Salal Sports Club of the Qatari Stars League who are managed by former Chelsea coach Henk ten Cate in June 2010 after his Latics deal ended. Before joining the Blues he released a rap/R&B track called Midas Touch with his then team mates Benni McCarthy and Dean Gore calling themselves BMD.
