Biography: Joined United on trial in the early 1960s as a youngster but was never offered terms after he became homesick. Managed Carlisle, Hearts, Plymouth and Hartlepool, opened a squash club, worked in insurance and hospitality, ran his own yacht charter business in Newcastle. Is now a radio pundit for Century FM and also seen on Sky Sports.
