Biography: A solid defender who started his career at Grimsby, alongside brothers Andy and David where he made 400 league appearances, he then clocked up another 150 in seven years at Saints, before finishing his career at Fulham where he then became Safety Officer and then manager of the training ground. In 2010 he was diagnosed with Picks Disease. similar to Alzheimers He lives in Otterbourne with his wife Mandy, but requires care seven days a week at the White House, in Curdridge. To help finance his visits to the centre, as well as support the family, a group of friends, fans and former colleagues arranged a charity fundraiser and held a golf day, Matt Le Tissier lined up former Saints stars to captain the golf teams on the day. including Claus Lundekvam, Francis Benali, Jimmy Case, Iain Dowie and many more. Matt Le tissier and Lawrie McMenemy also attended a similar sell out fundraiser in Grimsby.
