Murray, Jimmy I was in the RAF for my National Service Nov 1951 to Nov 1953. Big Jim Murray was there as well at 216 M.U. Whitehouse Common, Sutton Coldfield. He was younger than me and his RAF service was after mine. We both played football for the RAF at that time though. He was a lovely man to know and I am rather sorry that I didn't get in touch with him when I should have done after I had married and had come down to Dawlish in Devon when I became a lecturer at Exeter College, Exeter, Devon, for 25 years. I am now 85 years old. I had lived at Banbury and before that at Shipston-on-Stour, when I knew Jim then as he started his period with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
