Napier, John John Napier here, thank you for remembering the old Bolton days, I also had some wonderful years at Brighton and Bradford, I look for their scores every week here in San Diego. I am still out coaching youth soccer every night, very rewarding to see the young kids improve every year. Turned 75 a few weeks ago and will continue to work with the kids as long as I can give back. Many of my old pictures can be seen on

Thank you.

Napier, John Hi John... hope you are well You won’t remember me but I remember you. You used to go to the Beachcomber in Bank Street Bolton with a few of the BWFC lads. Ian Greaves Derek Bromley Roy Greaves and Gordon Taylor etc.

I remember going to the Cinema with you and some of the players... you used to get a free pass as BWFC players. I always found you very amiable and a genuinely friendly person You are of Irish decent as am I so that’s not surprising. I remember you started to date a very attractive girl at the time she had black hair and what as I would class as a Mediterranean look about her . I always wondered if you ever married her and had a family. I read you are in America now and have been for a number of years. I am still a Bolton lad I’m a bit younger than you 73 in September. Keep safe John and kind regards to your family.
