Parnell, Roy Roy and me grew up in same area around Rock Ferry we played for Ionic Street school and then Kirklands school and also picked to represent Birkenhead Schools. Good lad and great memories of our school days

Parnell, Roy Best fullback never to get a full England international Cap. That's how good he was. In today’s football he would be automatic choice for England without a shadow of doubt. Football was different but a hell of a lot better with better players in all leagues throughout Great Britain in the 60s and 70s. Would be worth millions today like a load of players of that era.

Parnell, Roy I worked with Roy at Breck Jig and Tool, Poulton. Approx 1980 to 1990. He was a great guy, lots of fun, plenty of stories. It was a real pleasure to be associated with him. We knew him as Panch and Pancho.

Parnell, Roy Roy keeps himself fit these days by a daily walk doing several rounds of the bowling greens at Arrowe Park and often stops for a quick chat with myself and other bowlers practicing during the off season.
