Biography: Devon born Pethick was working for the local Water Authority and playing non-league football for Saltash when he got his first break with Weymouth. It was while playing for the Dorset club that Jim Smith spotted his potential and parted with £100,000 to bring him to Fratton Park. The Bald Eagle's faith was repaid over the next six years when Robbie put in consistent performances and clocked up over 200 league starts. Pethick also played for Bristol Rovers and Brighton before retiring from football in 2006. Now lives in Cowplain and works as a driver for a window company.
