Biography: Started his career as a full back in Saints youth system before being released went on to become a prolific striker with Watford and Sunderland before returning to Southampton for a two year spell which eventually saw relegation from the Premier League, this prompted his move to Aston Villa in the summer of 2005. He is currently very much a squad player at Birmingham, but still able to turn a game with a goal when coming off the bench
