Pat Hello, really sad to hear that Pat has been suffering from the dreaded Alzheimer's disease
I look after the Blackpool FC Former Players Assoc and as it's Pat's birthday on the 26th April I normally tweet out our Birthday Wishes
Just wondered whether you knew if Pat is still with us as, I think, his son Paul told people about his Dad's poor health back in 2014

QUINN, Pat I can remember Pat playing for Blackpool and was very disappointed when he left.He had such vision as a player and his through balls were a delight to behold setting up our forwards to run on to.

Quinn, Pat Remember him well. He was a wonderful talent with Hibs and his link up play with the great Willie Hamilton was awesome.
QUINN, Pat Have great memories of Pat when growing up in Parkhead. My brother David,bwho is no longer with us, was a real pal of Pat, Jim Reilly and John McCormick. Pat was good and went on to great things. My personal memory is during my national service in Northern Ireland. Pat met up with a few of us and made us his guests. He played as a Scottish Junior International at this time. Bridgestone Waverley was his Junior team. They played at Barrowfield which is now home to the Celtic Supporters Society. He was a great and friendly guy.

Quinn, Pat Paul,sorry to hear of your fathers health problems.He has been a well respected and popular member of Bothwell Castle Golf Club for many years.He used to tell us how he would play golf on a Saturday morning at Bothwell before heading off to play in important matches for Motherwell in the afternoon.A fine footballer and talented golfer at this club.Willie Bethel Match Convenor.

Quinn, Pat So sorry to hear about your dad my dad Andy weir played alongside your dad in the famous ansell babe's team I'm sure your dad used to sell football strips in the 90s my amateur team bought a couple sets off your dad.sadly my dad passed away early 90s and my mum Margaret passed away 1999 met your dad on a couple of occasions with my dad fantastic friendly gent a motherwell and Scotland legend all I have now is my memories all his Scotland tops caps etc are long gone the family fell on hard times and had to auction them off. Please say a big hello to your dad from me and my thoughts are with him and the family

Quinn, Pat Hi I am Pats son.My dad now has Alzheimers/Dementia which a lot of old ex footballers have got.I have great memories of my dad being involved in football.especially being coach at Partick Thistle with Bertie Auld.One time there was a game at Firhill,which Bertie made a last substitution during the game bringing on Jim Melrose,then about 10 minutes later Bertie shouted to my dad,p get that ...... Melrose off lol.My dad replied that would only leave Thistle with 10 men,Bertie said it doesnt matter get him off,which my dad held up the old number board to substitute Melrose.Funnily enough Thistle won the game with 10 men,Bertie and my dad were a great partnership
