Birthplace: Spennymoor

Position: Centre-forward

Biography: A centre-forward who was largely kept in the reserves by the legendary Tommy Lawton. Only made two first team appearances, with his debut coming in a defeat against Everton in April 1947. Became a scout for WBA in the North East and coached several clubs in the Hartlepool area. Managed VVhickham to their FA Vase success in 1981. Now lives in retirement in the North East.
