Biography: Welsh international defender who joined the club on a 'Bosman' free transfer from Wolves in 2002 and was part of the team that won promotion that season. Won 52 caps with his country and played for Sunderland and Norwich before taking a paycut to move to play in Canada. Cheaper property prices meant that he was able to buy a country estate close to his new side, Toronto FC. He was voted the Canadian club's Most Valuable player for each of his first two seasons but is now playing for the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer.
