Ryden, Hugh First saw Hughie play for County in the 4-0 thrashing of Lincoln City 63/64 Hughie scored two spectacular goals in that game.


Ryden, Hugh Remember the Lincoln game like it was yesterday! John Evans opened the scoring then Hughie chipped the goalkeeper at the Cheadle End. Peter Bircumbshaw nearly broke the net from 25 yards! HT 3-0. Seven mins in the second half Bircumbshaw crossed from the left and Hughie scored with a great diving header! Headline in the morning papers: THE WHITE TORNADOS!
