John Sleeuwenhoek

Biography: Worked as a joiner at an Aldridge firm with his former Villa colleague, Alan Deakin. John sadly died in Birmingham in July 1989 aged only 45.

Sleeuwenhoek, John I remember John from Wood End school. Was two years older than John but he still managed to get in school football team. He was a lovely lad.

Sleeuwenhoek, John I remember John in the Villa team half back line, Mike Tindall, JS & my favourite Alan Deakin. They gave me great pleasure in my days supporting the Villa. Sad that John & Alan have passed away and Mike is poorly. Thanks chaps. Brian 31st March 2020

SLEEUWENHOEK, John Whilst young players with Villa, John and I shared a love of music and used to sing Muleskinner blues on the public address system after training. He ws a great lad.

Sleeuwenhoek, John John and I started Metro Cammel bus builders Washwood Heath Birmingham around 1978. As a body side fitter . He was a great character and a good worker . We all had some great fun with him and he was up for anything . He told us some great stories some never to be told .good memories of a great bloke RIP
