Biography: As a player the Saint could do no wrong - he was part of the Liverpool team for over a decade and a hero on Merseyside. However, his managerial career was a different matter. It started at former club Motherwell and then included a three year stay at Fratton Park. Although he managed to introduce a promising bunch of youngsters to the first team, results were patchy at best. Spells as assistant manager at Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry preceded a successful TV career as half of Saint &Greavsie. Now a popular after dinner speaker hosts his own radio show on Radio City 96.7.
