Position: Defender

Biography: A cultured defender who hailed from Serbia and has worn the colours of the national side on 20 occasions. He had already experienced English football with Sheffield Wednesday but joined Pompey from Vitesse Arnhem in Holland for £1.85 million. Recruited to provide extra strength to the rear guard for the first season back in the Premiership, he was a popular addition and won the player of the Year award in 2005. Stefanovic retired in 2009 after short stays at Fulham and Norwich but surprised the football world by coming out of retirement to play for Havant & Waterlooville in October 2010.
