Biography: Weymouth born keeper who won England youth honours and played for Bournemouth, Chesterfield and Arsenal before joining Pompey, initially on loan, in 1973. A broken arm kept him out for most of his first season and David Best's arrival in February 1974 signalled the end to his short Pompey career. A free transfer took him to Hereford but he later moved over to Australia to play semi-professionally for Canberra City. Has been coaching goalkeepers 'down under' for many years now. Now involved in goalkeeper training with the Sutherland Sharks in the New South Wales Premier League. He still comes home to Poole in Dorset each year and catches up with his life long friend Kevin Bond.
