Biography: Derek played for Lincoln City between 1970 - 1973 I believe, as a midfielder. Lincoln City had a very successful season in 71-72, just missing out on promotion in the end under David Herd, the former Man.Utd. player in his first season as Lincoln manager. Derek later played and managed in the USA for many years. I do recall Derek and a few other Lincoln City players running training sessions for local kids on the West Common in Lincoln, near to where I lived. We kids were so excited to actually meet the players and talk to them ! This would have been around 1971 I think. Happy memories. Thanks to Kevin Byrne Can you add any information here?
