Biography: Upon leaving Arsenal in 1956, Joe ended his playing career at Hereford United, as player and manager for six years. Remaining in the area, he then opened two sports shops in Hereford and Leominster, a business which was to last thirty years. Joe lived in Hereford in a house named Highbury, until his death in 2005 aged 84. (League Champion in 1953 with The Gunners).
