Wallington, Mark Great memories of Wallo as a young Leicester fan in Pen 3. He always acknowledged the fans with a smile and great sense of humour. He became my favourite and still is. Great keeper and what a great penalty saver! - Leicester legend :)

Wallington, Mark According to Gary Lineker, he used to pretend to get stuck or caught up in goal net when preparing for his run up for goal kicks and would deliberately fumble ball when spectators through ball back from crowd. A real joker. See motd on goalkeepers April 2020.

Bill Corkhill Fantastic comment by Gary Lineker on goalkeepers, about funny antics, keepers did. Mark taking goal kick and pretending to get his boot caught in the net.

Wallington, Mark Remember wallo playing for Leicester when I was a kid and he was involved in the 5-2 over Shrewsbury in the FA cup in 1982 where Leicester had 3 goalkeepers in that game! Wallo was injured and Steve lynex went in goal who also got injured! 3rd keeper in the match was Alan young who saved a penalty. Will never see anything like it again. I’m sure mark remembers the game well. I was 12 years old and even ran on the pitch at the end with my dad. Hope you are keep well mark.
