Biography: Watson had a brief spell as caretaker manager of Everton in 1997, but relinquished his duties when Howard Kendall was appointed. After retirement he managed Tranmere Rovers between 2001 and 2002, before moving to Birmingham City as a scout. He is currently a youth team coach at Wigan Athletic.
