West, Alan Played left wing for Greenfield St with Alan as inside forward. His dad Joe and my dad also called Joe used to finish work early to watch us play at Walker Lane. I soon realised, along with many others, than Alan was an exceptional talent, head and shoulders above everyone. Nice lad Alan, no edge and always had a smile for everyone.

Really sorry to hear he has not been well. I would like to wish Alan and his family all the very best.

West, Alan I remember Alan from my late teens when he was in the Burnley Youth team that won the Youth Cup.Him and a few Burnley mates turned up at Butlin's Filey, where we were.I remember him being a really nice lad with no pretensions, and got on well with him.Never met him again but followed his career as I was and still am a keen Clarets fan.

WEST, Alan Met Alan on a number of occasions, playing non league/park football. He was always a lovely guy, but refused to play on Sundays!
