Position: Wing-half

Biography: Signed as a Centre-half for £50 from Blackpool after playing just five games. The following season, he won a League Championship medal after playing 15 games. But it wasn't for another three seasons until he became a regular, only then for a knee injury to check his progress. He resumed his career after the Great War but then left after one season, when he was sold to Southend for £1,000. He served in the Footballers Battalion during the Great War and was seriously wounded during the battle for Passchendale. When he retired, he became a bookmaker in Manchester. He died in Wythenshawe in 1952, aged 66.
